Staff and leaders actively listened to information about people who are most likely to experience inequality in experience or outcomes and tailored their care, support and treatment in response to this.Staff received training about equality and diversity and understood the importance of ensuring people were treated equally and not discriminated against because of disability or health needs.

The service supported some people with protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010. Care records showed how they were supported to access and engage with specialist services to meet their needs. Care records also included information about preferences, culture and religion.
