Date of assessment: 31 January – 27 March 2025. Trinity Homecare is a domiciliary care service providing support to people living with a range of needs, including those living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. At the time of our assessment 33 people were receiving support with their personal care.

The provider ensured people were protected from abuse and avoidable harm. The provider maintained safe systems of care, had clear safeguarding, medicines and infection control procedures in place. They worked with people to properly manage risks. There were enough suitable staff in place who responded appropriately to safety events.

The provider assessed, planned, delivered and reviewed people’s care with them, in line with current legislation and standards. The provider always treated people with kindness, empathy and compassion, respecting their privacy and dignity and treating them as individuals. They were exceptional in how they made sure people’s care, support and treatment met their needs and preferences. The provider excelled at promoting people’s independence, so people knew their rights and had choice and control over their own care, treatment and wellbeing. The provider always cared about and promoted the wellbeing of their staff, supporting and enabling them to always deliver person-centred care. The provider met people’s needs. They had an exceptional understanding of the diverse health and care needs of people.

Service leadership ensured person-centred care, supported learning and innovation and promoted an open, fair culture. The provider had a very clear shared vision, strategy and culture and promoted a culture where staff felt valued and their needs were important. Leaders had the experience and credibility to lead effectively and staff confirmed this. The provider had a strong focus on continuous learning, innovation and improvement across the organisation and local system.
