Our view of the service

Date of assessment: 10 February to 19 February 2026. At the time of this assessment the service provided personal care support to 22 people living in their own homes. We assessed all quality statements from the key questions of safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.

Not everyone who used the service received personal care. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided.

The service had recruitment processes to make sure all staff were recruited safely and had the necessary checks before starting to work with people. However, some staff did not have their full employment history documented. Staff received regular training and access to relevant training courses were available to ensure staff developed their skills. This helped to improve people’s experiences and reduced the risk of harm. Trained staff managed people’s medicines, and the provider completed spot checks to ensure staff competency.

The provider had governance systems that ensured people received a reliable service. Staff mostly visited on time, stayed for their allocated time and carried out all their required tasks to keep people safe.

People's care records and risk assessments reflected people’s needs in their home environment. Quality assurance processes were effective in highlighting issues to ensure improvement continued.

Staff were aware of their responsibility to raise concerns with the safeguarding authorities if they felt people were at risk of harm or abuse. Information on safeguarding procedures was available to people and those who were important to them, so they could raise concerns externally if they wished to do so. The provider acted on safeguarding concerns, accidents, and incidents.
