At this assessment the rating has remained good. This meant people were supported and treated with dignity and respect; and involved as partners in their care.

The provider was very good at promoting people’s independence, so people knew their rights and had choice and control over their own care, treatment and wellbeing. People and their relatives spoke extremely highly of the staff and management and the quality of care provided. People had been supported to learn to walk again following hospital stays and able to return to their own homes and retain their independence. A relative told us how the high-level quality of care meant they no longer had to worry or spend time following up treatment plans and could simply enjoy being in a relationship again with their partner. Other relatives echoed this sentiment. A relative said, “Staff don’t only care about my [family member] but they care about me as well and will ask, ‘Why are you crying?’ What's upset you? And ‘Let’s close the door and talk about it.’ I have had 100% care from the registered manager and staff as well. Another relative said, “Staff always speak to my [family member], treat them with respect and uphold their dignity.”

People spoke about the various ways they can spend their time and the support they had to live their life as they chose and still do things ‘their way.’ 1 person told us, “We have bingo and music and it is quite good and in the good weather they take us out locally where we want to go.” Another person said, “The church of England vicar comes once a month and we have communion which is nice. They support me and I do as much as I can.”
