Our view of the service
The Droitwich Spa Hospital is operated by Circle Health Group Limited. The hospital has 46 registered beds, all with en‑suite facilities.
The previous inspection of surgical services was published in April 2019, and we rated the service as Requires Improvement overall. At that inspection, Safe was rated Requires Improvement, Effective, Caring and Responsive were rated Good, and Well‑led was rated Requires Improvement.
The hospital underwent an unannounced inspection of Diagnostic Imaging on 19 March 2024.
We undertook a fully comprehensive assessment of surgical services, which was unannounced and was undertaken on 18 February 2026.
The service provides elective, day‑case and short‑stay surgical activity across operating theatres, recovery, a short‑stay surgical ward, outpatient consultation areas, pre‑operative assessment and diagnostic imaging services.
The onsite facilities include 3 operating theatres, an ambulatory theatre including endoscopy, 11 outpatient rooms, a physiotherapy department and diagnostic services including X-ray, Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).
