During an assessment under our new approach
Date of assessment: 19 June to 2 July 2026. This inspection focused on the provider's governance systems. The provider was previously in breach of the legal regulation in relation to notifications. Improvements were found at this assessment, and the provider was no longer in breach of this regulation.
The assessment found evidence of continued improvement within the service, supported by positive feedback from staff and professionals. Governance systems had developed since the previous assessment; however, further work was needed to ensure quality monitoring and audit processes clearly demonstrated oversight, identified trends and risks, and showed how information was used to drive and sustain improvements.
Staff described improvements in communication, morale and the overall culture of the home and spoke positively about the leadership of the registered manager. Professionals also reported the service had become more welcoming, with increased management presence, good partnership working and a proactive approach to meeting people's needs. The registered manager was described as approachable, supportive and committed to improving outcomes for people living at the service.
We did not check how the provider was meeting Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture on this inspection. RSRCRC is our statutory guidance on how providers meet the needs of autistic people and people with a learning disability. This was because this was a focused inspection to check whether improvements had been made following an inspection in 2024. Those original concerns did not specifically relate to how the provider was meeting the needs of autistic people and people with a learning disability.
People's experiences were not gathered directly as part of this assessment. However, feedback from professionals showed improvements in leadership and management were having a positive impact on people living at the service. Professionals described a more positive atmosphere within the service and spoke positively about the changes that had been made. One professional told us, "The home has a much nicer feel to it and all residents were sat with staff and engaged which was lovely to see." Professionals also gave positive feedback about the leadership of the service and how this supported people's care. This feedback showed improvements in leadership, communication and partnership working were helping to improve people's experience of care.
