During an assessment under our new approach
Long Eaton View is a residential care home providing personal care for up to 60 people aged 65 and over. At the time of our inspection there were 48 people using the service.The accommodation is provided over 3 floors.
The purpose for our inspection was because the provider had not been inspected previously, since registering with us in 2022. We completed a fully comprehensive inspection where all key questions and quality statements were assessed. At the time of our visit ownership of the provider had recently changed.
We found people were safe and had their needs met in a timely manner. Staff were skilled, kind and approachable. There were sufficient staff available to keep people safe and meet their needs. Leaders were knowledgeable, approachable and had put systems in place to ensure that they had oversight of the governance of the care home. We found some gaps in recording care interventions in people’s care plans, but these did not affect the care being delivered.
People were offered a range of activities to entertain them and there was a healthy menu with lots of choice available, and the provider catered for people’s individual dietary requirements. The care home was clean, tidy and pleasantly decorated and furnished.
