Responsive
Responsive – this means we looked for evidence that the provider met people’s needs.At our last assessment we did not assess enough quality statements to rate this key question. At this assessment, we did not assess enough quality statements to rate this key question.
Although there were still some areas where care plans and guidance could be enhanced, the provider had improved this following our last assessment. People told us they received care in a person-centred way, specific to their needs. People’s protected characteristics were now considered and staff supported people to ensure they could access services.

Person-centred Care
Since our last assessment the provider had reviewed and improved the care plans to inform staff how best to support people. People were involved in regular reviews of their care and involved in the planning. Care plans now contained more guidance for staff, however there were still some areas where more detail was needed. For example, one person received support from another care provider. It was not always clear within their care plan which care provider was responsible for each aspect of the care delivered.

Equity in experiences and outcomes
Since our last assessment, the provider had implemented systems to involve people in their care and treatment. Care plans and risk assessments now contained more information to reflect people’s physical, mental, emotional and social needs. The provider agreed these were still a work in progress and was reviewing care plans to ensure they fully reflected people’s needs. Staff and leaders has started to ensure that information about people who are most likely to experience inequality in experience or outcomes and tailored their care, support and treatment in response to this.
