During an assessment under our new approach
We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 13 January 2026.
We found the practice had met regulations.
Leadership required strengthening to ensure a culture of continuous improvement. Shortfalls we identified such as lack of radiography audits had been identified prior to the inspection and were being addressed by the provider at the time of the inspection. Processes needed embedding.
The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control.
Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation. However, induction processes required strengthening.
Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.
The practice is in Birmingham and provides private orthodontic and general dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the practice and dedicated parking for disabled people, near the practice.
The practice had 2 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 7 staff, of which there was 1 orthodontist, 1 dentist, 1 dental nurse, 1 trainee dental nurse, 2 dental therapists and 1 receptionist. We gathered feedback from and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection.
