Responsive
Responsive – this means we looked for evidence that the provider met people’s needs. We assessed a limited number of quality statements in the responsive key question and found areas of concern. The scores for these areas have been combined with scores based on the rating from the last inspection, which was good. Though the assessment of these areas indicated areas of concern since the last inspection, our rating for the key question remains good.
However, we found people were not always empowered and enabled to understand their rights to protect them from discrimination.
This service scored 64 (out of 100) for this area. Find out what we look at when we assess this area and How we calculate these scores.

Equity in experiences and outcomes
Staff and leaders did not always actively listen to information about people who were most likely to experience inequality in experience or outcomes. This meant people’s care was not always tailored in response to this. There were no effective systems in place for people to feed back about their care and support. Relative and resident meetings were not regular enough to establish people’s views so they received the same opportunities, experiences and outcomes. People who did not have family, were not represented to empower them to understand their rights to ensure equality.
