During an assessment under our new approach
Date of assessment:13 March 2026 to 1 May 2026. This was the first assessment of Lydia Rose Care.
Lydia Rose Care is a domiciliary care service providing personal care and support to adults in their own homes, including people living with dementia and people with a learning disability. The service supports people across the local area to maintain independence and continue living safely in familiar surroundings.
During this assessment we found leaders had established a clear vision for the service and a culture based on the values of kindness, dignity and reliability. Care was designed around people’s lives and preferences, rather than service routines. We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ guidance to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed autistic people and people with a learning disability, respect, equality, dignity, choices, independence and good access to local communities that most people take for granted. Leaders demonstrated an understanding of their responsibilities.
Staff were supported and well led, with systems in place to promote safe, consistent and person‑centred care. Leaders described a strong commitment to learning and improvement and had sufficient governance and oversight systems. The culture was open, compassionate and focused on delivering high‑quality care that achieved positive outcomes for people.
