Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must ensure that they consult with service users and/or their representative (if the service user lacks capacity) to determine the care and treatment provided is suitable and reflects their specific needs and preferences and document this in the service user’s personalised care record. This is with specific reference to the current testing for Covid19 antigens. The process of consultation and documentation must be in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 [MCA] and Code of Practice. This must be carried out by date of 20 July 2020.

GF the sole Director, Registered Manager and Nominated Individual for Cherry Tree Lodge Private Retirement Home Limited and VG, Registered Manager, must obtain or attend training from a reputable source in (1) The Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of Practise (2) Equality, Human Rights, Diversity and Inclusion. The Registered Provider must provide the Commission with confirmation of the bookings of the respective two courses for these two individuals by the date of 13 July 2020 and upon completion of the said two courses, the registered provider, must produce certificates of attendance and completion for GF and VG, after seven days of completing the two respective courses, to the Commission. The evidence is to include date of training, nature of training and name of training provider.

The registered provider must provide evidence by 20 July 2020 in respect of location Cherry Tree Lodge Private Retirement Home Limited that all staff, including GF the sole Director, Registered Manager and Nominated Individual for Cherry Tree Lodge Private Retirement Home Limited and VG, Registered Manager, have received training in Infection Control and Prevention, specifically related to Covid19. The evidence is to include name of staff member, date of training, nature of training, name of training provider, and post-training competence checks.

The Registered Provider must carry out an appraisal in writing as to the individual competency, skills and fitness of GF the sole Director, Registered Manager and Nominated Individual for Cherry Tree Lodge Private Retirement Home Limited and VG, Registered Manager, to carry on and supervise the regulated activity at Cherry Tree Lodge Private Retirement Home Limited, and thereafter, provide written evidence to the Commission of their findings with a view to the provision of any further training, support and professional development, going forward for GF and VG. This must be carried out by date of 30 July 2020.

The registered provider must review, update and provide to CQC by 13 July 2020 a copy of a written infection prevention and control action plan for Cherry Tree Lodge Private Retirement Home Limited including dates for completion of each action. The plan must evidence liaison with key stakeholders including the Local Authority and Clinical Commissioning Group.

You must not admit any new service users to Cherry Tree Lodge Private Retirement Home Limited without prior written agreement of the Commission.

Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The Registered Provider must only accommodate a maximum number of 31 service users at Cherry Tree Lodge Private Retirement Home Limited.

The Registered Provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Cherry Tree Lodge Private Retirement Home Limited.
