Assessing needs
The provider made sure people’s care and treatment was effective by assessing and reviewing their health, care, wellbeing and communication needs with them. The Registered Manager assessed people before they moved to the service to ensure their needs could be met. This involved using appropriate assessment tools and considered people’s mental health support, communication, and the compatibility of people’s needs with one another. Staff knew people well and confirmed they had access to sufficient information before people started using the service. People were assigned a key worker to help ensure they were involved in decisions about their care, and their needs were regularly reviewed.
