Our view of the service

Date of assessment: 4 March 2026.

Hey Baby 4D Dartford, is an independent pregnancy scanning service which provides diagnostic scans at all stages of pregnancy. Pregnancy scanning is completed by sonographers who received training in various aspects of fetal wellbeing including fetal anomaly screening and obstetrics and gynaecology training completed abroad.

The service was accessible to women and feedback was positive. Throughout this report we refer to service users and people as pregnant women or women.

This was the first assessment of this location.

In our assessment of Hey Baby 4D Dartford, we found that staff had the right qualifications, had safe systems, pathways and transitions, understood how to identify abuse and refer service users to third party organisations like the NHS and the service was easily accessible for pregnant women.

However, we found gaps in governance processes.

We refer to the ‘reporting period’ within this report which was April 2025 to March 2026.

At this assessment we identified a breach of regulation 17 Good Governance.
