The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy

The previous inspection of the service was under an old methodology and was not rated. Following this inspection the location has been rated requires improvement in safe. Not all staff had completed mandatory training including safeguarding training. This meant we were not assured staff were appropriately trained to safely care for patients. We identified areas of concern with the environment; there were no handwashing facilities in the recovery area which could lead to a spread of bacteria. However, the service worked well with partners to ensure a continuity of care when transferring between providers.
