This key question was inspected in February 2026. At our last assessment in May 2025, we rated this key question requires improvement. The service was in breach of a legal regulation in relation to Regulation 12 Safe care and treatment. The service has made improvements and is no longer in breach of regulation. The provider now has systems and processes in place to ensure staff can safely support patients to seclusion. The ward environments on Jubilee and Clent wards are now clean and well maintained. At this assessment the rating has changed to good. Wards were safe, clean well equipped, well furnished, well maintained and fit for purpose. Staff assessed and managed risks to patients and themselves well. Staff understood how to protect patients from abuse and the service worked well with other agencies to do so. The service used systems and processes to safely prescribe, administer, record and store medicines. The service managed patient safety incidents well.
