Our view of the service
Date of assessment: 5 March 2025 and 19 March 2025.
This service provides accommodation and personal care for up to 50 older people, some of whom live with dementia. At the time of our assessment there were 27 people living at the service.
People were treated with kindness and respect, and their views and opinions were listed to and acted upon. Staff treated people as individuals, supporting their choices and preferences about how they wanted to be looked after.
Staff were knowledgeable about people’s needs and preferences. They felt well supported and able to raise any issues, concerns or ideas to support service improvement.
Staff worked in partnership with other health and social care professionals to ensure people’s needs were managed in a timely and appropriate way.
People's experience of this service
People and their relatives were positive about life at the service. They said they were well looked after by caring and knowledgeable staff. People told us they were involved with making decisions and choices about their care. We observed staff supported people to maintain as much independence as possible.
People were provided with information in ways they could understand. They were able to voice their opinions and concerns and were confident they would be listened to.
