Dates of inspection: 24 November 2025.

Mia Care Services Ltd is a domiciliary care provider, providing personal care to people in their own homes. At the time of this inspection, there were 22 people receiving personal care, adults and children. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided.

The last rating for this service was good [published 15 July 2022]. We undertook this responsive assessment to follow up on some concerns we received about how the provider managed risk to people.

For this inspection, we reviewed all 15 quality statements related to the 2 key questions, Is the service safe and well-led? For those key questions not inspected, we used the ratings awarded at their last inspection to calculate the overall rating.

Based on the findings of this inspection, the overall rating remains good.

People using the service, and their relatives told us they felt safe in the presence of care staff. They said staff did as much as reasonably expected to keep them safe from avoidable harm. Staff understood safeguarding procedures and how to keep people safe, including from potential risks. The provider operated safe staff recruitment practices and there were enough staff employed to keep people safe. Staff received appropriate training and support they needed to perform their roles and responsibilities well.

We received positive feedback about the culture of the service, from people, relatives and healthcare professionals. Staff and people said their views were considered and taken on board.

There were effective governance procedures in place to ensure the quality of service remained good. Managers and staff worked closely with local community health and social care professionals to support people.

During a routine inspection

Mia Care Services Ltd provides personal care to people in their own homes. Six people who used the service received personal care at the time of this inspection. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided.

People’s experience of using this service and what we found.

People using the service and their relatives said they were happy with the service provided and would recommend the service to others. They told us they and their family members were supported by staff who understood how to keep them safe and were caring and respectful towards them.

People were supported by staff who were recruited safely, had appropriate training and were well supported by the registered manager. Staff understood how to safeguard people using the service and were confident any concerns they raised would be listened to.

Procedures were in place and followed for the safe management and administration of medicines and infection prevention and control.

People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests; the policies and systems in the service supported this practice.

People’s care was planned around their wishes, preferences and needs. People and their relatives understood how to complain but had not needed to because they were happy with the care provided. They were confident that, if they contacted the administrative office, the management team would respond to them promptly.

Systems were in place to monitor the quality of care people received as well as their satisfaction with it. People, relatives and staff were encouraged to share their feedback.
