Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
a .The registered provider must not admit any Service User to Aston House, 45 Hampton Park Road, Hereford, Herefordshire, HR1 1TJ without the prior
written agreement of the Care Quality Commission. This includes any respite or emergency admissions of service users, any readmissions of previous
service users, or where service users return to the location following admission to hospital.
b. Within 3 days of this notice taking effect the registered provider must ensure service user risk assessments and risk management plans are in place to ensure staff have clear up to date guidance to mitigate risks associated with but not limited to; arson, sexual exploitation and suicide.
c. The registered provider must immediately review their staffing levels within the home to ensure there are sufficient numbers of trained and competent
staff to meet the needs of service users at all times. This review must include but is not limited to how you have ensured there is enough staff deployed to
meet the current needs of service users at Aston House taking into account the following:
• Service users who require support from more than one member of staff.
• Service users with specific mental health needs.
• Service users who require support to protect them from the risk of arson, sexual exploitation, and suicide.
d. Within 21 days of this notice taking effect, the registered provider must ensure mental capacity and best interest decisions for all service users where this is
assessed to be required to ensure their care is suitable and reflective of individual needs and preferences.
Terms of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity
The registered provider must not provide nursing care under accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care at Aston House.
The registered provider must not provide accommodation for persons who require nursing or personal care in a specialist service to people whose presenting need for care or support is as a direct result of the person’s learning disability and or autism at or from Aston House Care Ltd.
The registered provider must only accommodate a maximum of 19 service users at Aston House.
