The registered provider must ensure that all service users known to be at risk of choking, being in pain and those at risk of pressure sore development or sore skin have an up-to-date, individualised risk assessment in place.
These must:
• Clearly identify the risk and required control measures
• Include specific guidance for staff on safe care delivery
• Reflect current advice from relevant healthcare professionals, including
(where applicable) Speech and Language Therapy, Pain management,
and Tissue Viability Nurse.
The registered provider must within 7 days ensure an effective system is in place, to ensure the safe oversight and timely administrations of medicines management at Hillcroft Care Home, 135 High Street, Wordsley, Stourbridge, DY8 5QS. This will include monthly audits for the registered provider.
The registered provider must within 7 days establish an effective system to ensure the identification and root cause analysis of any patterns or trends in accidents and incidents at Hillcroft Care Home, 135 High Street, Wordsley, Stourbridge, DY8 5QS.
The provider must within 7 days provide the Care Quality Commission with confirmation of steps they have taken to comply with the instructions of Compliance Health and safety report dated April 2026, in respect of fire safety within the home. This must include individual risk assessments of individuals needing to be evacuated in the event of a fire at Hillcroft Care Home, 135 High Street, Wordsley, Stourbridge, DY8 5QS.
The provider must provide an action plan on the 1st Monday of each month setting out how either you have already addressed each of the concerns identified above, or how you intend to address them. As part of your action plan, you should set out a specific time frame for implementing each action and who will be doing it. You may include documentary evidence supporting any actions taken or intended
