During a routine inspection

During this inspection we found a service that was liked by people who used the unit. They told us that staff were kind and compassionate. One person said, 'I had two hip replacements and I am being rehabilitated. People explain things at meetings. The doctor calls in every day to see me. I think it's been helpful'. Another person said, "The staff are very good. I have a button to press if I need them".

We found a service that was respectful of people and maintained their dignity and privacy. Environmentally the service was well designed, clean and suitable for the use.

We spoke to staff and found records reflected a team approach to supporting people that made the service responsive to people's needs. The detailed assessments from a multidisciplinary team made for a safe experience for people. Staff were appropriately trained and supervised.
