During a routine inspection

During our visit on 25 September 2012 we found there were six people using the service, all of whom were females. The people that we spoke with told us that they felt safe at the hospital and that the staff cared for them in an appropriate way. One person said of the staff "they are all very nice and look after me well". The care the person described they were receiving matched the care that was documented in their care plan. This confirmed that peoples' needs were assessed and care and treatment was planned and delivered in line with their individual care plan.

The people who use the service also told us they received their regular medications appropriately and that they could ask for and receive additional medications, such as pain killers, at anytime.
