Other CQC inspections of services

Community & mental health inspection reports for Heys Court can be found at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Inspection carried out on 10 July 2013

During a routine inspection

We spoke with ten people who used the service. They told us that the care they had received had been delivered in a way that respected people's privacy and dignity and their individual wishes. Their comments included:

I like my room I can go there at any time.

Its a nice unit.

The staff are always very pleasant.

We saw that there was access to information on advocacy and how to complain.

Staff had access to a range of information about peoples needs and how they were to be met. We found that each person had a care plan with information about the care and support they needed.

People told us that they felt safe living at the home and they knew who to tell if they were unhappy with anything.

We found that there was sufficient staff on duty to provide people with the care and support they needed and that the provider had effective systems in place for monitoring and quality assurance.
