During a routine inspection

We visited two wards during our visit and spent time speaking with patients as well as staff in a range of roles. We invited patients to share with us their experience and views. People we spoke with were mainly positive about their experience of the hospital. One patient we spoke with told us 'staff are really good, dead responsive, dead fair and explain why if you can't do something'.

We found that patients were involved in developing their care and treatment which was delivered in line with their individual treatment plan. Risk assessments ensured the safety of staff, visitors and people using the service. People who use the service were protected from the risk of abuse because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening. We found that staff had access to a range of training specific to their role and staff we spoke with told us they felt supported by their managers. People's complaints were fully investigated and resolved where possible to their satisfaction.
