Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

1 a) The registered provider must by 4pm on 3 September 2020 implement an effective system to assess, monitor, identify, mitigate and manage any risks relating to the health and safety of people using the service, staff and others, which covers and ensures the following:

• Staff and patients observe social distancing throughout the hospital.

• Staff adhere to the requirements of wearing personal protective equipment.

• All staff groups have received up-to-date training on the safe and effective use of personal protective equipment and that such training is included in any induction for new-starters.

• Staff adhere to trust policy on the frequency of cleaning the environment and equipment, and that this cleaning is recorded.

• Staff consistently triage patients appropriately and consistently according to their Covid19 symptoms.

• There is a policy/guidance to support staff to identify patients at low or high risk of Covid-19.

• There is adequate provision of suitab

1 c) On a monthly basis, commencing 3 working days following your board meeting starting from September 2020 the registered provider must provide the Commission in reference to 1(a) the following information:

• documentation and records that go to the board and sub-board committees (public and private) which the board uses to gain assurance

• evidence of the resulting discussions including minutes of any meetings

d) On a weekly basis, commencing from 4pm on 3 September 2020 the registered provider must provide the Commission with the results of any monitoring data and audits undertaken in connection with the systems put in place under 1(a).

2. The registered provider must by 4pm on 27 August 2020 ensure that all areas within the emergency department are risk assessed for social distancing to ensure that the risks related to the spread of COVID-19 are mitigated.

a) A copy of these risk assessments must be provided to the Commission by 4pm on 27 August 2020.

b) In the event the registered provider introduces any policies, procedures or protocols as a result of the risk assessments, the registered provider must ensure this information is disseminated to staff and provide the Commission with copies of such policies, procedures or protocols by 27 August 2020.

c) The registered provider must keep the risk assessments under review and provide the Commission with a copy of any updated risk assessments within 2 working days of them being undertaken.
