During a routine inspection

We spoke with three people who used the service. Each of them told us that they had been well cared for at the hospital. A relative we spoke with told us that, "The interface between the patient, relatives and the care team was first class."

One person told us that, "Staff are that busy that sometimes they can't come straightaway." Another person told us, "when I've used the call bell it has sometimes taken a while for someone to come." That suggested a possibility that the wards did not always have enough nurses or healthcare assistants, but on the basis of our observations, discussions with staff and review of documentation we found that enough staff were on duty.
