During a routine inspection

We spoke with seven patients and two relatives. Everyone we spoke with had a positive experience of the hospital. One patient said of the hospital, 'It's just like home.' When we spoke with patients about the care they had experienced one patient said of staff, 'Staff are all very nice, very good to me.' Patients appreciated that staff were attentive to their needs. One patient told us, 'The staff are all very attentive, 'They all keep an eye on you to make sure you are alright, they are always popping by and asking if I need anything.'

People had choices about how they spent their time. One patient told us, 'I can choose what time I go to bed and where I sit in the day.'

A relative told us that, "The quality of care was very good and I feel comfortable about leaving my father here. " The relative added that their experience of the hospital had always been positive.
