Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

a. The registered provider must implement an effective system to ensure service users presenting with risks in relation to their mental health receive safe care and treatment. This system must ensure:
i. Staff complete and record an appropriate risk assessment of service users presenting with risks in relation to their mental health.
ii. Staff implement and record plans to safely manage the risks to service users in relation to their mental health.
iii. Service user records are audited appropriately to ensure mental health risk assessments and risk management plans are completed and acted upon.
b. The registered provider must ensure there is provision for effective monitoring and oversight of all patients in the emergency department at Cumberland Infirmary. This includes those waiting for speciality review or bed availability, and those in the waiting room.
c. Within 28 days of these conditions taking effect and thereafter on the first Monday of each month, the registered provider must provide the following information to the Care Quality Commission:
i. An update report of action in accordance with the conditions in this notice.
ii. Evidence of audits as per condition a(iii).
