Our view of the service

Tameside General Hospital is an acute general hospital in Ashton-under-Lyne, England and is managed by Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.

We commenced a responsive assessment of the services for children and young people at Tameside General Hospital on 4 December 2024 because of concerns around child death incidents. We carried out an unannounced inspection during 28 to 30 January 2025.
