Our overall rating of well-led at Musgrove Park Hospital has improved as rated good. Maternity was rated as requires improvement.

Leaders were developing a new strategy to guide staff. Some staff did not feel supported or treated equitably. Improvement to the service had taken time to undertake and to maintain compliance. Managers engaged with the local community to improve care and demonstrated openness to new ideas. The service was taking steps to enhance leadership and quality of care. Staff felt leaders were visible. Staff understood their roles and responsibilities.
