We looked for evidence that the service worked to establish and maintain safe systems and continuity of care when people moved between different parts of the service. We looked for evidence that infection control processes minimised the risk of infection, that facilities and equipment met people’s needs and that staff managed medicines well.

We found a service that had made improvements and addressed all of the concerns we had previously highlighted. Our rating of safe in surgery went up from requires improvement to good. Our rating for urgent and emergency care also improved. It went up from inadequate to requires improvement.
