During a routine inspection

Patients were very positive about their experiences in the hospital. They had admiration for the all the staff, medical, nursing, therapists and others. They felt the staff were completely dedicated to the welfare and rehabilitation of those in their care. They said that they were treated with dignity. They liked the warm and friendly atmosphere and the light pleasant surroundings. One lady who had been nervous about attending the day assessment unit was reassured by the friendly atmosphere. Another patient, who had not long been admitted, mentioned that the staff very soon addressed her by name. A patient who had lost confidence following a fall said that her confidence had been rebuilt by the exercises and physiotherapy she had received.

In general patients said that the food was of the high quality and the premises themselves were well maintained and very clean.
