During a routine inspection

We were unable to speak to people or their relatives regarding the support and treatment they received because the service was mostly delivered in the community. However, people's feedback collated from surveys we looked at was mainly positive. For example, when people were asked by the provider what they liked about the service, one person commented 'the way the worker understands your problem and help you and gives you advice'. Another person said 'the way the worker relates to you and are very down to earth'.

We found that people were given adequate information to allow them make informed decisions about their care and treatment. People who use the service had a care plan in place depending on the level of support they required and we saw that people were involved in their care planning and their preferences were taken into consideration. The provider had policies and procedures in place to safeguard young people, and staff we spoke with knew of their responsibility to identify and report abuse. We found that staff were supported through induction, training, supervision, appraisals and team meetings. The provider had systems in place to assess and monitor the quality of the service provided.
