Our view of the service

We carried out this assessment of MJ Home Care Staffing Limited between 9 June 2026 and 23 June 2026. We visited the service on 9,10 and 23 June 2026.

This report relates to the service provided to people using the supported living service. The service provides supported living for people with mental health needs, learning disabilities and autism. Our assessment considered the principles of Right support, right care, right culture.

At the time of the assessment the agency was supporting 9 people with personal care under the supported living scheme.

The service was well led by a provider and management team who were committed to providing high-quality person-centred care which supported people to live fulfilling lives within their own homes.

People were supported by staff who had been safely recruited and received training and supervision appropriate to their role. Staff told us the training they received gave them the skills and confidence to effectively support people.

Staff were able to recognise signs of abuse, and all told us they would be confident to report any concerns. This helped to make sure people were protected from abuse and poor care.

People had their needs assessed before they began to use the service. Staff worked with other professionals to make sure care provided met people’s needs.

Risk assessments were completed to make sure people could do the things that were important to them with minimum risk to themselves or others.

Comprehensive care plans were created with people to make sure staff had all the information they required to care for people in their chosen way. People were involved in all decisions about their care and support.

Staff supported people to maintain their independence and make choices about their day to day lives.

People were supported to take part in activities which interested them and staff helped people to maintain relationships with friends and family.
