Dates of assessment: From 10 April 2026 to 24 April 2026.
Allfor Care Croydon is a care at home service registered to provide the regulated activity of personal care to people, primarily elderly people, living in their own homes. Not everyone using Allfor Care Croydon received regulated activity; CQC only inspects the service being received by people provided with ‘personal care’. Where they do, we also take into account any wider social care provided. At the time of our assessment the service was providing care and support to 102 people.
This service has been in special measures since 9 January 2026. The provider demonstrated improvements that have been made. The service is no longer rated as inadequate overall or in any of the key questions. Therefore, this service is no longer in special measures.
The provider was previously in breach of the legal regulations in relation to person-centred care, dignity and respect, need for consent, safe care and treatment, safeguarding service users from abuse and improper treatment, receiving and acting on complaints, good governance, staffing, fit and proper persons employed, duty of candour, statement of purpose and notifications. Improvements were found at this assessment. At this assessment we found the provider was no longer in breach of these regulations.
Following our last assessment the provider developed a service improvement plan and contracted quality assurance consultants to support its implementation. This resulted in improvements in the recruitment, training, supervision and deployment of staff. The provider upgraded their electronic monitoring system which was used to schedule care visits. This eliminated missed care visits completely and created staffing consistency for people. Similarly, upgrades to electronic care records resulted in improved needs assessments, medicines monitoring and person-centred care plans.
People were protected from foreseeable harm. People’s risks were assessed by staff trained to do so and actions were taken to mitigate them. Office-based staff and leaders understood their roles and responsibilities and engaged in partnership working to improve people’s care and support.
