We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 19 May 2025.

We found the practice had met regulations.

Infection control procedures in place were effective.

There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance.

Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our inspection, could access care, support and treatment when required.

There was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation. Improvements should be made to ensure they are consistently followed.

Improvements should be made to the system for checking medical emergency equipment and medicines and managing the risks of hazardous substances.

The practice is in Rotherham and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

There was ramp access to the practice and car parking spaces available near the practice.

The practice had 4 treatment rooms.At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 11 staff. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 2 dentists, 2 dental nurses, 1 dental therapist and the practice manager.

Two weeks before our visit, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We received feedback from 7 patients. On the day of our visit we saw and received feedback from 22 patients. Their responses provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

Patient comments included, “Staff are extremely friendly on the phone and face to face”, “I have found nothing but utmost professionalism and friendliness from everyone from the reception staff to the dental professionals”, “Always helpful and full of information for future oral health” and “Very friendly. Made you feel at ease. Dentist very thorough and explained options of treatment available”.

The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.

Staff gathered feedback from patients, the public and external partners and demonstrated a commitment to acting on feedback.

Patients commented positively about the standards of cleanliness.
