Updated 4 June 2026
We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 23 June 2026. During this inspection, we assessed the safe and well-led key questions. We did not assess effective, caring and responsive.
We found the practice had not met all regulations.
The practice had ineffective systems to identify and manage risks. Improvements were needed to governance processes surrounding the medical emergency kit, Legionella and risk assessments. In particular, health and safety, substances hazardous to health and sharps risk assessments.
Leadership and oversight of the service was not effective. Processes for continuous improvement required improvements.
Night and Day Emergency Dentist is part of a dental group provider. The practice is in Withington, Greater Manchester and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

The practice had 2 treatment rooms. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to 2 members of staff during our inspection, including 1 dentist, who was the registered manager for this location and the practice manager.
The provider was not complying with all regulations. Full details of the regulation the provider was not meeting are within the assessment findings below.
