Perfect Smile Clapham Junction

We carried out this announced on-site inspection on 9 July 2026.

We found the practice had met all regulations.

The practice had systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control; although improvements were underway to ensure all risks were identified and managed in a timely manner.

Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.

Recruitment procedures on the whole reflected current legislation.

Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.

Perfect Smile Clapham Junction is part of Perfect Smile, a dental group provider. The practice is in Clapham Junction and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.

There was step-free access to the practice via a ramp and car parking spaces available near the practice.

The practice had 5 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 19 staff, of which there were 5 dentists, 6 dental nurses including 4 trainee dental nurses, 3 dental hygienists, 2 receptionists, 2 support staff and the practice manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 3 dentists, 2 dental nurses, 2 receptionists and the practice manager. The registered manager/compliance manager for the group was also onsite to support the inspection.

Two weeks before our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. We reviewed patient feedback we received, and feedback routinely obtained by the practice. Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

Comments included, “outstanding”, “put at ease”, “would recommend”, and “great”.

The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We were told this was reviewed and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action would be taken.
