We carried out this announced, on-site inspection on 24 October 2025.
We found the practice had met all regulations.
Infection control procedures in place were effective.
The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance.
Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our inspection, could access care, support and treatment when required.
Norwood Dental Clinic is part of Colosseum, a dental group provider. The practice is in Norwood, in the London Borough of Croydon and provides NHS and private orthodontic treatment to children and adults.
There was step-free access to the practice. Pay and Display parking, including dedicated parking for disabled people was available close to the practice.
The practice had 5 treatment rooms.At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 25 staff, of which there were 10 dentists, 2 dental hygienist, 2 dental therapists, 5 dental nurses, of which 1 was a trainee, 5 receptionists and a practice manager.
We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 1 dentist, 1 dental therapist, 1 dental nurse, 2 receptionists and the practice manager. We also spoke with the organisation’s compliance manager.
