Date of assessment: 12 June 17 June 2025. We visited the service on 12 June 2025.

This is a domiciliary care service, registered to provide personal care for people living in their own homes in the community. They provide support to people with a range of different needs including older people and those with a physical disability. At the time of the assessment the service was providing the regulated activity of personal care for 29 people.

We rated this service under our previous methodology in May 2022 where it was inspected and rated as requires improvement overall. At this assessment we rated the provider good.

At the last assessment the provider was found to be in breach of the legal regulation relating to good governance. Improvements were found at this assessment, and the provider was no longer in breach of the regulation related to good governance. The provider had introduced an Electronic Medication Administration Record (EMAR) system and a digital care record system, to ensure good governance.

People were not receiving formal reviews at the time of the assessment. We spoke with the management who told us they had been completing informal reviews however would complete formal reviews straight away. No-one we spoke with said they had any concerns relating to their care plans.

Staff treated people as individuals offering choice and supporting independence.

People's experience of the service

Updated 15 May 2025

During the assessment we received positive feedback from people who used the service and their relatives about their experiences of care. People and their relatives were positive about the staff that supported them. Comments included, “They [staff] are very caring and professional. They do chat with me and have a beautiful smile on their face” and “I think the carers are lovely. The morning one goes above and beyond.”

People and their relatives told us staff stayed for the allocated time. Comments included, “They [staff] do stay and come on time. One of the things I like is that if I need extra help then they don’t leave me in a mess and will spend an extra 5-10 minutes if needed” and “Yes, the carers are on time. If delayed they usually let me know and I appreciate that. They do stay and get it all done. If I need more when I’m not well, then I contact the office, and they extend the visit depending on availability. They try to be accommodating pretty much all the time. They’re brilliant on flexibility.”

People told us they received medication as required. One person said, “My carer in the morning will administer meds and they have their own process for recording. There are no problems with medication. A senior carer came from Winserve to check what medicines I had been given. So, they check over and above. From time to time there are changes in my medicines and I will let the carer know.”
