During an assessment under our new approach
We carried out a hybrid inspection on 11 December 2025. The inspector visited the practice, and the dental adviser joined the inspection remotely via a video call.
We found the practice had met all regulations.
The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks, including infection prevention and control.
Staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to carry out their roles.
Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.
Staff provided care and treatment in line with current guidance. They treated patients with dignity and respect and ensured access to care, support, and treatment when required.
St Anne’s Dental Practice is part of Envisage, a dental group provider. The practice is in Lewes and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
The practice was accessed via steps. Car parking spaces including dedicated parking for disabled people, were available near the practice.
The practice had 4 treatment rooms. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 14 staff, of which there were 6 dentists, 3 dental nurses, 3 dental hygienists, 1 receptionist and the practice manager. We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 2 dentists, 2 dental nurses, the receptionist and practice manager. A compliance manager from the group was also available to support the practice.
