We carried out this announced, on-site inspection on 22 October 2025.

We found the practice had met all regulations.

Infection control procedures in place were effective.

The practice had effective systems to identify and manage risks.

Recruitment procedures reflected current legislation and there was effective leadership and a culture of continuous improvement.

Patients’ care and treatment was provided in line with current guidance.

Patients were treated with dignity and respect and at the time of our inspection, could access care, support and treatment when required.

Smile For Life Dental Clinics - Tottenham is part of Perfect Smile Limited, a dental group provider. The practice is in the London Borough of Haringey and provides NHS treatment under conscious sedation to children and adults.

There was step-free access to the practice. Parking spaces, including dedicated parking for disabled people were available close to the practice.

The practice had 4 treatment rooms.At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 11 staff, of which there were 4 dentists, 3 dental nurses, 1 receptionist. 2 administrative staff, and a practice manager.

We gathered feedback from staff and spoke to a range of staff during our inspection, including 2 dentists, 2 dental nurses, the receptionist and the practice manager. We also spoke with one of the organisations’ regional managers.

Two weeks before our inspection, we asked the practice to encourage patients to share their views of the service with us. On the day of our inspection, we reviewed patient feedback from several sources, including direct feedback following appointments, and on-line feedback.

Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice.

Patients commented that the staff team were friendly, professional and helpful. Patients said when they were anxious that staff treated them with professionalism, warmth and care.

Some parents commented about the exceptional care provided to children who experienced severe anxiety.

Patients felt able to book appointments within an acceptable timescale for their needs and said they had enough time during their appointment without feeling rushed.

Patients told us they were given clear information to help them make an informed choice about their treatment and any associated costs. They were involved in decisions about their care.

The practice shared patient feedback with the team. We saw that feedback was reviewed, shared with the practice team, and where suggestions had been made, appropriate action was taken.
