Equity in experiences and outcomes
Staff and leaders actively listened to information about people who are most likely to experience inequality in experience or outcomes and tailored their care, support and treatment in response to this.
People and relatives provided positive feedback regarding the service responding to people’s immediate needs. Relatives told us there had been appropriate interventions in place when people had a fall and required an ambulance, for example. One relative told us “Very much responsive, if [my relative] is not well they are on it, and informed.”
The service has an equality, diversity and human rights policy in place. We found evidence the service supported people’s individual likes and preferences, as well as cultural and religious needs. We found there were regular church services held within the service. Staff knew people well and took the time to get to know people individually to best understand their needs and preferences.
