Our view of the service
Date of assessment: 11 June to 16 July 2026. This was our first inspection of the service since the provider registered with The Care Quality Commission (CQC). The service is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care to people living in their own homes. At the time of the assessment there was 1 person using the service.
The provider had a learning culture where people could raise concerns. Staff received supervision and appraisals. However, staff did not always have the right knowledge and training. Medicines were not always well managed. Information was not always recorded accurately. Records did not always show people received care in line with their care plans.
People were involved in assessments of their needs. People had enough to eat and drink. Staff did not always work effectively with agencies involved in people’s care.
People were treated with kindness and compassion. Staff protected their privacy and dignity and treated them as individuals. People had choice in their care and staff supported people to maintain relationships with people who were important to them. Staff responded to people in a timely way. Theprovidersupported staff wellbeing.
People were involved in decisions about their care and staff ensured they understood their care and treatment. People knew how to give feedback and were confident theprovidertook it seriously.
The provider did not have effective systems in place for quality assurance. Leaders and staff had a shared vision and culture. Leaders were knowledgeable and supportive. Staff felt supported to give feedback and were treated equally, free from bullying or harassment.
Staff understood their roles and responsibilities. There was a culture of wanting to learn and improve the service.
During our assessment, we found 1 breach of the regulation in relation to governance.
We have asked the provider for an action plan in response to the concerns found at this assessment.
People's experience of this service
People and their relatives were positive about the service, told us they were happy with the support they received, and they felt safe. They told us the long-term consistency of the staff team meant they had developed strong relationships and knew each other well, which they valued.
