Well-led
We looked for evidence service leadership, management and governance assured high-quality, person-centred care; supported learning and innovation; and promoted an open, fair culture. At our last assessment, we rated this key question as good. At this assessment, the rating remains the same.

The practice had a mission statement which included the delivery of high-quality patient care and best practice. This included the delivery of services which were timely, considerate and responsive to the needs of their patient population and supported by a clear focus on customer service and the need of the individual patient. The mission statement was displayed throughout the premises. The leaders encouraged the staff to take part in learning, professional development, and training. Business continuity and disaster recovery plans were in place to ensure resilience in adverse circumstances.

Governance, management and sustainability
Staff had clear roles, responsibilities, and governance systems to support high-quality, sustainable care. Leaders used reliable data on risk, performance, and outcomes. Staff were well-supported, understood their roles, and received regular appraisals. Governance processes were mostly well-established, with accessible policies and procedures. Leaders held regular meetings to address clinical concerns and risks, recording and sharing actions clearly. Staff demonstrated a commitment to confidentiality and information security.
During the assessment we observed emergency equipment was only subject to monthly checks and the vaccine fridge did not have a data logger to provide continuous monitoring and alert to temperature deviations. Following the assessment, the practice manager told us they had responded to these findings and made improvements.
