Workforce wellbeing and enablement
The provider cared about and promoted the wellbeing of their staff and supported and enabled staff to always deliver person-centred care. There was a staff benefits scheme in place and the management team gave examples of how they supported staff welfare. For example, the registered manager explained how they supported overseas staff to have time to travel to see family. They said, “We put a lot of positive praise on the group chat, we went out at Christmas, and we've got a summer gathering coming up.”
Staff were positive and felt supported to carry out their roles. Staff told us the staff team, including the management team were “friendly” and “approachable” and “We can call [registered manager] about anything, even if it’s the middle of the night.” Staff told us they were encouraged and supported to develop professionally. One staff member said, “I am currently on my induction to be a team leader. I am getting good training from my seniors, and I hope I will do well in my role.”
