Date of assessment 13 August 2025 to 13 October 2025.
Cleveland View is a care home providing personal care for up to 60 people. At the time of this assessment there were 56 people who were using the service. The service provides care for older people, some of whom are living with a dementia and younger adults.
At the last inspection in April 2019, we rated the service good.
We gathered information from people who used the service, relatives, the management team and staff and health and social care partners. People and relatives were positive about the care and support provided. They spoke positively about the staff team.
Staff responsible for the administration of medicines had received training. People received their medicines safely.
Safe recruitment procedures were followed and staff received training to meet the needs of the people they provided care and support to.
Records of incidents and accidents were completed and the registered manager reviewed these to identify any themes or trends.
Consent documentation was in place and staff knew what process to follow with obtaining consent.
Staff were aware of how to manage risk and people were supported to take responsible risks.
Staff were knowledgeable about the care people needed, but we identified some of the care plans needed further development. We provided feedback to the registered manager in relation this who told us these would be updated as a matter of importance.
An ongoing plan of refurbishment was in place. Some bathrooms had recently benefitted from refurbishment.
Effective governance systems were in place to ensure oversight of the service. .Staff and the management team worked well with visiting health and social care professionals and any safeguarding concerns were managed effectively.
Staff said managers were approachable, supportive and listened to them. The registered manager and senior staff worked closely with staff to ensure care standards met required expectations.
