Our view of the service

Date of Assessment: 19 May 2026 to the 22 May 2026. House of the Flame Lily is a domiciliary care agency providing personal care to people of all ages living with learning disabilities or autistic spectrum disorder, sensory or physical disability and mental health conditions. Not everyone supported by this service received the regulated activity of personal care. This assessment looked at people’s personal care and support. At the time of our assessment there were 6 people in receipt of a regulated activity. This assessment was completed to identify if the required improvements had been made following a previous inspection in October/November 2025.

Theproviderwas previously in breach of the legal regulation in relation to safe care and treatment, compliance with The Mental Capacity Act 2005, staffing, delivering person centred care and governance. Improvements were found at this assessment and theproviderwas no longer in breach of these regulations.

We assessed the service against ‘Right support, right care, right culture’ to make judgements about whether the provider guaranteed people with a learning disability and autistic people respect, equality, dignity, choice, independence and access to local communities that most people take for granted.

People received individual care that was based on their assessed needs. Care plans and risk assessments were developed alongside people and care was delivered at the right time in line with these plans. People were supported by safely recruited staff who had the skills, knowledge and training to meet people’s needs. They knew people well and they were liked by people.

People were safeguarded from potential abuse as procedures were in place and followed. Infection control was considered. Medicines were managed safely. The principles of the Mental Capacity Act were understood.

Staff felt listened to and involved and spoke positively about the support they received from the company and the registered manager. There were systems in place to monitor quality of the service.

People's experience of this service

People and their relatives were happy with the care they received and the staff that supported them. They raised no concerns to us about the staff, management team, the care they received or the company.
