Condition of this registration relating to carrying out this regulated activity

The registered provider must ensure that effective governance and oversight procedures include ensuring staff are competent in the use of PPE and knowledge in relation to Covid19 and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) procedures. The registered provider must confirm in writing to the Commission what action has been taken to comply with the above condition by 17.00hrs on Thursday 28 January 2021.

The registered provider must ensure that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is being used and worn correctly by staff to prevent and control the spread of Covid-19. In doing so, the registered provider must have due regard to current Government guidance on Covid-19 and the donning and doffing of PPE. The registered provider must confirm in writing to the Commission by 17.00hrs on Thursday 28 January 2021, what action has been taken to ensure PPE is being used correctly by staff.

The registered provider must ensure that all staff are suitably trained in Covid-19, the donning and doffing of PPE, the disposal of contaminated waste and the overall management of confirmed or suspected Covid-19 cases. In doing so, the registered provider must have due regard to current government guidance on Covid-19, PPE infection prevention and control for care workers working in domiciliary care. The registered provider must confirm in writing to the Commission what action has been taken to comply with the above condition and if applicable, supply the Commission with any updated policies, procedures, risk assessments and action plans by 17.00hrs on Thursday 28 January 2021.
