All Inspections

27 August 2013

During a routine inspection

Before people received any care or treatment, they were asked for their consent and the provider acted in accordance with their wishes. Where people did not have the capacity to consent, the provider acted in accordance with legal requirements. People we spoke with understood the care and support choices available to them. One person said, 'I am able to make my own decisions. I am not told what I can or cannot do and I like it'.

Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare. People said their support needs were met and they had confidence in the staff members who supported them.

People who used the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because the provider had taken reasonable steps to identify the possibility of abuse and prevent abuse from happening

There were effective recruitment and selection processes in place.

The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people received.
